This record is a collection of tracks that I have completed over the past year since moving out of London. Side one is inspired by the mid-nineties jungle sound when the music was becoming more stripped back and influenced by hip-hop. Side two expresses my appreciation of the darkside hardcore sound. Growing up in the midlands I was exposed to this era of hardcore and jungle by hearing tapes from promotions such as Amnesia House and Quest. The Eclipse club in Coventry (later the Edge) played a major part in the proliferation of this style which continues to influence many contemporary artists within the rave scene. The samples used in these tracks reflect issues relevant to our current times whilst paying respect to the original architects of the hardcore and jungle sound. Learn More
What started as an experiment, born in the stillness of the early months of 2020, Metalheadz and SB81 are proud to present ‘B292’. The largest body of music ever released by Metalheadz, ‘B292’ is made up of 29 tracks across 2 defined parts with a strong emphasis on old skool influences. It’s SB81’s experiences as a youth that give him a real understanding of this era, something that cannot be replicated and where authenticity always stands tall. Learn More
