MOY makes a triumphant return to the mighty Analogical Force with the 'Supermassive' EP, a bold statement of intent. While the artist doesn't necessarily reinvent the wheel here, his tracks have a way of gripping you and never letting go thanks to their hyperactive beats, acid basslines and emotive melodies. It's the design of these elements which elevate his machine rhythms to timelessness. Each of the four tracks delivers on many different levels namely in the club, night drives, or chilling at home. MOY's ability to blend influences results in a sound that's both familiar and fresh here.

Berghain resident and co-founder of the Leisure System label, Berlin's Barker's latest work takes a sharp turn into unpredictability, shaping a sound that's as much about process as it is about outcome. What you hear feels like an unfolding, with each track veering off course, far from its initial intentions. 'Reframing' opens with a brittle tension before unwinding into unfamiliar territories. The tracks build, evolve and drift, embracing the chaos that Barker himself navigated in recent yearsibe it the creative uncertainty or the shifts in the world around him. There's an almost mechanical precision to the rhythm in 'Fluid Mechanics' that contrasts with the organic quality of the melodies, while 'Cosmic Microwave' delivers a hazy, expansive soundscape that echoes the unpredictable journey the music itself takes. The mood across these tracks feels alive with change, an exploration of sound and ideas that never quite resolvesiconstantly shifting, constantly evolving. Learn More

'Kitchen Sync' takes things to 120bpm where acid and glimmering keys create a fusion of the known and the otherworldly. Mind Express boss Refracted, AKA Berlin's Alex Moya, emerges from the depths of some murky, oily, opaque lake. A place unsettling and unnerving - the site of some unknown tension - but also wonderfully inimitable and hard to countenance. Powerful stuff, just not really in a way that immediately presents itself as such. Nevertheless, before you know it these tones have enveloped and ensnared. Call it ambient techno, call it ambient, call it pure futurism - parts here almost feel like the ambient noises of familiar things that haven't been invented yet. If that makes sense? A moody precog of a record, it whirs and drones, echoes and dissipates. There are moments when structure become more defined, like the mystery of 'Initiation', but for the most part these are aural infinity loops.

Gerd is a real daddy of the Dutch scene. He has never really fit into a box, never really had his hyped up moment in the sun, but just consistently delivers high quality music that does a brilliant job when played nice and loud. Frame of Mind houses his latest missive, which kicks off with the jacked up percussive house excellence of 'Brave New Era' before 'Drive' swings on 1st, dumpy kicks and is topped with fine analogue percussion, as is Gerd's trademark. There's a wiry synth energy to the sleazy 'Nexus', 'Nebula' channels deep, dark cosmic atmospheres and 'Droid Romance' is run through with the spirit of aliens.

Forest Drive West makes the most intricate sounds in techno if you ask us. There is a meticulous craft in everything he does, but never at the expense of an underlying groove and alluring mood. Masking is his latest EP and the title cut opens with dirty, swampy bass and percolating drum funk. 'Ziggurat' slows down but has real creepiness in the gurgling low end and insistent loops up top. 'Ruins' is a steppy broken beat with more ghoulish sounds swarming around the mix and 'Mobius' shuts down with deft loops that float above sustained chords and keep you on edge. Learn More
Deep don Pablo Bolivar is back to explore the murky waters that exist way below the surface on Seven Villas, this time with Celestial Sphere alongside for the trip. 'Context' opens with swirling celestial pads, traintrack-like grooves and plenty of vinyl crackle while 'Second' is a super slow motion and utterly sparse world with the most wispy pad and occasional hit sketching out the vibe and rhythm. 'Good Deal' twinkles with a little more light and hope in the melodies that break the surface as dusty drums and dub bass cocoon you from below. 'What Is Value' is a masterful ten-minute closer for utter catharsis.

The first release on this label came - as far we can tell, anyway - all the way back in 2022. Three years on, the second is another effective club weapon, this time with an electro twist. Pop Panic's 'Your Body' has mad heavy drums and maximal synth lines perfect for nice loud plays. Aut Zebel's 'Flipped Smile' takes off on a jacked up acid groove for peak time plays and DJ GLC lays in some high speed retro-future synth euphoria on 'Trance Dance' for emotional plays. G Punx shuts down with the gritted-teeth grooves and slamming bass of 'Electro Baked' for menacing plays.

Finally after all those years, Dutch producer Peter Aarsman presents the re-issue of his iconic peak-time track called Entangled. Originally released on Deviate in 1995, this 13 minute techno trip caused mayhem on dancefloors across the world. Peter's love for early Detroit techno in can be heard in the beautiful Res*lute. Warm strings, deep basslines and a repetitive synth theme provide for a stunning track which was used by Carl Craig in his selection for the influential DJ Kicks series. Res*lute also comes in a rawer house remix by Frame Of Mind label head Gerd.

Porter Brook’s experimentation with Live Coding considers the reality of dance music culture in the 2020’s to be inseparably mediated through algorithms and digital space. The attention economy and the corporate co-optation of the underground has dissolved a large part of dance music culture in an acrid solvent of content creation. Learn More
DJ Agitated made a big impression with his 'Magic Overlooked' EP back in 2024, and now builds on that momentum with the follow up. It's a welcome return to the Dolly TS series with more robust and punchy analogue explorations. 'U' Focu Ranni' is straight up body music with fragment vocals pacing about the mix, then 'E=p22m+U(X,T)' takes on off E-ed up waves of techno euphoria with hurried drums and lush synths and 'Don't Mind' brings a filter-heavy, hardcore house sound that will gets fists punching the air. 'Rug Pull' is a dub techno pile-driver for more high octane fun.

Storm on Earth steps out with a new self-titled label that lays its cards on the label with this first four-track missive. It's techno with character to kick off with as 'Signal' has dusty drum funk topped with trippy vocals that are well treated and pan and phase around the mix. 'Storm' has a dark and driving undertone with distant synth paranoia keeping you on your toes. 'Earth' dazzles with bright synth lines that are pixel-thin and packed with emotion over the cantering drums. Last of all is 'Radar,' the darkest of the lot and one with gritty synth waves, more loopy vocals and a devastating bassline.

Timeless is regularly cited as one of the greatest dance music albums ever made., a Dark Side of the Moon for the rave generation. As Mixmag said back in 1995 "Timeless is a record that couldn’t have been made if it wasn’t for the party, the MDMA, the noise and the rage. Timeless tells you that you can’t ignore or erase this history because to Goldie, and to so many others, it holds their lives, dreams and feelings." Learn More
