Al Wootton returns to his label Trule with his second album “We Have Come To Banish The Dark”. The record is a product of dystopic times, taut with energy and restrained violence, yet never oppressive or nihilistic. The theme is one of unity, liberation and resistance to a darkening world, against the rising tide of fascism, hypercapitalism, and right wing politics. Yet there remains a constant hope and light, most evident in the downtempo roller “Devarim” and the closing bars of “May Your Angels Of Light Accept Him”. Learn More

    NRSB-11 - Commodified (2 x LP, Reissue)

    £27.98

The official sales note and PR are fairly enigmatic and mysterious out of respect for the wishes of the artists, but it's fairly widely shared public knowledge that NRSB-11 is primarily a collaboration between Gerald Donald (Drexciya, Dooplereffekt, Arpanet, Japanese Telecom and many more) and DJ Stingray 313 (Urban Tribe, official tour DJ for Drexciya and acclaimed solo artist). Originally released as a limited edition in 2013 on Belgium's WéMè label, their sole album Commodified quickly went out-of-print and has been much sought after ever since - it's currently on 1,783 Discogs wants lists. For the initial reissue, we've produced a special transparent 2 x LP edition with the original album artwork screenprinted onto a PVC outer-sleeve, and two clear vinyl discs housed in transparent poly inner bags. This edition is limited to 2,000 copies worldwide and we don't expect them to stick around for long. There is also a standard CD edition containing 3 bonus tracks. If demand is there then we will follow up next year with a black vinyl 2LP in standard packaging. Learn More

  15. DJ QU - Conjure (2 x LP)

    DJ QU - Conjure (2 x LP)

    £13.99

Five years on from the release of his debut album, Gymnastics, Ramon Lisandro Quezada finally serves up a follow-up. Conjure is a fine set that neatly showcases the varied sides of the prolific deep house producer's output. So, we get Iberican tribal drums fused with hazy trumpet solos ("Feed Off Of"), dreamy ambience ("Candlelit"), groovy downtempo beats (the hip-hop influenced "Supafly"), sumptuous and sensual dancefloor deepness ("Lotus (In Memory Of)"), and dark, intense, occasionally dubbed-out late night business ("Whistle Song", "Visitation", the stripped-back hip-house of "Toc"). There's little in the way of filler or fluff, and plenty of playable, club-ready material. Learn More
