TONY ALLEN - Ole (MORITZ VON OSWALD Remix) / Ise Nla (Reggae Land Dub) (WAREIKA HILL SOUNDS Remix)
£10.99Moritz’s deep Berlin steppers discloses dubwise traces of our original Lagos recording — the percussion of Yinka Ogunye, the singing of fifties palmwine legend Rolling Dollar, Oscar Olimbi’s guitar lick — in with his own warm Oberheim voicings, additional drumming, and cool-and-deadly rhythm track. It’s a tough, masterly dance record in fine Rhythm And Sound style (evoking vintage House, too) — which during its ten-and-a-half minutes seems to ponder time elapsed and journeys undertaken. Like a stepping razor, but t-u-m-p-i-n. Learn More -

'Context' opens with swirling celestial pads, traintrack-like grooves and plenty of vinyl crackle while 'Second' is a super slow motion and utterly sparse world with the most wispy pad and occasional hit sketching out the vibe and rhythm. 'Good Deal' twinkles with a little more light and hope in the melodies that break the surface as dusty drums and dub bass cocoon you from below. 'What Is Value' is a masterful ten-minute closer for utter catharsis. Learn More -

ANDROO - Tribute To Jackie Mittoo LP
£33.98Hybrid is a word used indiscriminately in our daily lives. This record isn't a hybrid; it's beyond hybrid, post-hybrid, so to speak. Does this phrase sound complicated to you, and are you never overly convinced by music theory and its caricatural aspect? Then forget what you’ve just read and listen to both sides of this record. You'll soon realise that these tracks are deliciously deft, drawing their essence from dub while leaving room for some skillful jazz writing. For those of you intrigued by melodies, the art of musique concrète or the exploration of dub music’s deviant angles, this record will easily find its place on your turntable. Learn More -

NRSB-11 - Commodified (2 x LP, Reissue)
£27.98The official sales note and PR are fairly enigmatic and mysterious out of respect for the wishes of the artists, but it's fairly widely shared public knowledge that NRSB-11 is primarily a collaboration between Gerald Donald (Drexciya, Dooplereffekt, Arpanet, Japanese Telecom and many more) and DJ Stingray 313 (Urban Tribe, official tour DJ for Drexciya and acclaimed solo artist). Originally released as a limited edition in 2013 on Belgium's WéMè label, their sole album Commodified quickly went out-of-print and has been much sought after ever since - it's currently on 1,783 Discogs wants lists. KALCAGNI - Target Practice EP
£10.99Naming his latest tunes 'Target Practice' and 'Improv', Spanish electro producer Kalcagni is determined to flaunt his care-less, unruffled streak, implying that the production of electro floor-haulage is a cakewalk. After all, the best among us eat bangers for breakfast! The A-siders rattle out like inexhaustible mags, as we hunt down bullet-holed cardboard cutouts of mortal enemies, spied in the reticle. It's only until after such an opening bloodbath that we find a moment to catch our breaths and put on a 'Clean Shirt', where rejuvenative acids resound between roomier beat. Finally, 'Drift N Shift' hears Kalcagni pack in his shift at the shooting range and steal away into a misty, chord-laden night, though the sense of urgency is not lost on us. Learn More -
VARIOUS - Borft Dance Classics Vol 4
£17.99Swedish label Borft has been digging in its archives again to assemble another volume of what it sees as its most classic cuts. And we don't disagree with these, which are taken from releases that originally landed between 1998 and 1999. Egglady's- 'Prinsessan Och Agget 1' is well-swung and deftly dubbed out with lovely analogue drum sounds cutting through. Nikolas Rowland's 'Headspin' is another smooth one with molten chords and a firm low-end drive. 'Puffy Nipples' from Kord is a wonky number with an unhinged charm and stomping groove that will stand out in any set while Crinan closes with the classy and raw house, dub and tech fusion that is 'Suit 61'. Learn More -
EDWARD / TRYBET - Deep Sea Villain EP
£17.99Astonishingly, 18 years has now passed since Gilles Aiken - probably more celebrated these days for his work under the alternate Desert Sky alias - first offered up off-kilter tech-house tracks as Edward. Last year, he impressed with a wonderfully deep and unctuous EP on deep house imprint Smallville; here, he makes his bow on another must-check label, Kalahari Oyster Cult. In keeping with the imprint's love of all things trippy and otherworldly, opener 'Tentacle' sees him wrap chiming lead lines, psychedelic synth motifs, weird noises and layers of percussion to a chunky, locked-in house groove. Aiken then goes off piste via a skewed, druggy and at times dreamy tech-house remix of Trybet's 'Moodsetter'. Arguably best of all though is impossible-to-pigeonhole flip-side 'Dr Octo', which is immersive, unsettling, tactile and eccentric in equal measure. Learn More -
ORBE - Hypernova EP
£15.98Spain’s ORBE makes a return to his self-titled label with another collection of immersive, linear techno that digs deep into altered states. Known for his ability to bend space and perception through sound, he delivers four tracks that transport the listener far beyond the dancefloor. Hypernova launches with urgency—its hazy synth trails and crackling textures riding atop thick, distorted kicks. Echo Drift ventures into more cosmic territory, drifting through an interstellar soundscape rich with sci-fi nuances. That futuristic thread continues on the Mills-inspired Halo, before the EP closes with Infinite Flux—a standout cut that fuses trippy synth modulations with punchy, jacked-up percussion. This is techno designed for total immersion Learn More -

£13.99Timeless is regularly cited as one of the greatest dance music albums ever made., a Dark Side of the Moon for the rave generation. VOY - Supermassive EP
£17.99MOY makes a triumphant return to the mighty Analogical Force with the 'Supermassive' EP, a bold statement of intent. While the artist doesn't necessarily reinvent the wheel here, his tracks have a way of gripping you and never letting go thanks to their hyperactive beats, acid basslines and emotive melodies. It's the design of these elements which elevate his machine rhythms to timelessness. Each of the four tracks delivers on many different levels namely in the club, night drives, or chilling at home. MOY's ability to blend influences results in a sound that's both familiar and fresh here. Learn More -
DJ SOTOFETT - The Colours Of Computer Generated Instruments (2 x LP)
£33.98DJ Sotofett is one of those producers who operates on his own plane. His sounds are like no other, his ideas are weird and wonderful and his execution is always exceptional. He is a producer who does things in his own playful way and that bears out on this new 12-track album. It's couched in electro with 80s Nintendo console vibes and a fusion of analogue and digital synthesis that makes for a jubilant celebration. Along the way, things shift from acid-infected beats and catchy electronic pop to avant-garde electro cuts. Vital stuff. Learn More -
REFRACTED - In Veil EP
£24.98Mind Express boss Refracted, AKA Berlin's Alex Moya, emerges from the depths of some murky, oily, opaque lake. A place unsettling and unnerving - the site of some unknown tension - but also wonderfully inimitable and hard to countenance. Powerful stuff, just not really in a way that immediately presents itself as such. Nevertheless, before you know it these tones have enveloped and ensnared. Call it ambient techno, call it ambient, call it pure futurism - parts here almost feel like the ambient noises of familiar things that haven't been invented yet. If that makes sense? A moody precog of a record, it whirs and drones, echoes and dissipates. There are moments when structure become more defined, like the mystery of 'Initiation', but for the most part these are aural infinity loops. Learn More -

£15.98Frustrated Funk is one of many labels from the Netherlands that delivers house and techno, all while staying rooted in the foundations of Chicago and Detroit. Their releases consistently bring a timeless quality, and this latest offering from Lost Trax is no exception. '23' strikes a balance between dreamy and gritty, yet undeniably groovy. 'And Or' leans into a quirky, acid-driven vibe, while 'It's All Good' provides a smooth, downbeat synth break. 'Grib' is a lo-fi, experimental track with a touch of Omar S's signature style, and 'The Watcher' wraps things up with deep, dusty brilliance. Learn More
