  1. OM UNIT - Threads (2 x LP)

    OM UNIT - Threads (2 x LP)

    £27.98

‘Threads’ was my 1st album as Om Unit and this 10-year re-mastered anniversary edition comes around at what feels like a similar time for me of experimentation and finding new ways to connect sounds. Something of a full circle of sorts but then again I am marking time with this re-issue at a time where I can look back and feel very proud of the work still sounding so convincing. Now even better thanks to Subvert Central’s Robert Macchiochi! Learn More
  2. CHANTSSSS - Shyness LP

    CHANTSSSS - Shyness LP

    £23.48

‘Shyness’ suggests something subtle, intricate and ethereal – but it also demands your attention. Over 10 tracks of spacious, sub-aquatic ambience, CHANTSSSS pulls you deep into his vaporous sound world. The songs themselves, a blend of ambient pop, chamber music and pulsing low end rhythms, feel cloaked in mystery. Layers of reverb and zonked vocals float in the atmosphere, moving between and through one another, mist on mist. It’s not necessarily a quiet record, the low end can shake a room if you turn the volume up, but it does feel extremely intimate – proof that some art speaks loudest in its quietest moments. 3. LOST SOULS OF SATURN - Reality LP

LOST SOULS OF SATURN - Reality LP

    £21.49

For their first album, Seth Troxler and Phil Moffa joined forces and became multidimensional creative dissidents Lost Souls Of Saturn. This time, even further into the vortex, they’ve metamorphosed into sci-fi AR comic characters John and Frank who’ve explored the galaxy and returned with this perception-melting new LP. Learn More
  4. BURNT FRIEDMAN & JOAO PAIS FILIPE - Automatic Music Vol 1: Mechanics Of Waving

BURNT FRIEDMAN & JOAO PAIS FILIPE - Automatic Music Vol 1: Mechanics Of Waving

    £17.99

Since 2018 João Pais Filipe (on drums) and Burnt Friedman (electronics/synth) investigate into automatic pattern–composition rooted in doubling and halving; the unimpeachable laws of motion. The offer of freedom can be seen as a way to get in touch with necessity. On „Mechanics Of Waving“ the attempt is made to succumb to such a mode of action, the drilling of a method, not through individual cunning or displayed musicianship. Through constant practise Friedman & Pais discover the principles of rhythmic phenomena while dis–associating the music from cultural idioms. Inspired by rare infrasound–ratios ranging from 11 to 23, Nonplace releases the results of a 4 years long operation. Learn More
  5. WHYTWO - Ghost (2 x LP)

    WHYTWO - Ghost (2 x LP)

    £28.99

We've now arrived at Whytwo's debut LP, 'Ghost', an exhilarating and elasticated take on Drum & Bass that exists in the hinterland between elation, melancholy and longing. Mirroring Whytwo's music, the album's title, 'Ghost', is richly layered word, meaning, in different places and at different times; a memory of something or someone; to disappear without communication; to move quietly and quickly; to secretly do work for another; and, of course, a being caught between worlds. From the old English, 'Gast', meaning 'breath' or 'spirit', the word eventually transformed into 'Ghost' coming to describe "a slight suggestion, mere shadow or semblance". All of these definitions relate, in some way, to the album now before us. Learn More
  6. dBRIDGE - Vemodalen EP

    dBRIDGE - Vemodalen EP

    £20.99

New material from one of London's underground legends. This EP takes more of a 90's IDM approach, deep and harmonic soundtracks well executed. In my opinion, a culmination between Aphex Twin & UNKLE production styles. Learn More
  7. HANAKIV - Goodbyes (LP)

    HANAKIV - Goodbyes (LP)

    £23.48

Gondwana Records announces ‘Goodbyes’, the debut album from Estonian-born, London-based sound artist and pianist Hanakiv. A deeply beautiful, meditative piano album featuring special guest Alabaster deplume. “This is an album about healing. It is about saying your goodbyes to everything that doesn’t serve you anymore. Each of these songs has a little goodbye in it. So, these are very beautiful and necessary goodbyes”. Hanakiv is a young composer and musician from Estonia (now based in London) who creates meditative piano-based ambient music with elements from classical and electronic music. ‘Goodbyes’ is her debut Learn More
  8. AL WOOTTON - River Songs EP

AL WOOTTON - River Songs EP

    £14.48

River Songs sees Al Wootton head deeper into esoteric rhythmic territory. Polyrhythmic hand percussion and bells are offset with modular synthesis and narcotic sound design that evokes the mysteries of the rainforest and the inherent psychedelia of nature. A heady dance floor river ride through unknown and uncharted spaces. Learn More
  9. YOSI HORIKAWA - Spaces

    YOSI HORIKAWA - Spaces

    £26.99

‘Spaces‘ is Horikawa’s new album, following from 2013’s ‘Vapor‘ released via London-based label First Word. This time the album is released on Borrowed Scenery, a new label setup by Horikawa and close collaborator Daisuke Tanabe to enable them to operate free of constraints. The album features 11 songs that combine field recordings and sound design with a range of stylistic touch points: the fluid intricacies of hip-hop, the precise efficacy of IDM, the euphoric physicality of dance music, the humanity of acoustic instrumentation. Each song blends a primary sound source with a certain style, with titles often hinting at the origins of the sounds – “Moldy Vinyl,” “Vietnam,” “Fluid,” “Swashers,” “Nubia” – or the mood the music evokes. What ties it all together is Horikawa’ s deeply personal understanding of what constitutes music, an understanding shorn from the commercial and stylistic structures of music as a commodity.
