ARTHUR VEROCAI feat AZYMUTH / IVAN LINS - Encore: 2025 (reissue)
£30.49Encore has been remastered from the original tapes and features 11 compositions by Arthur Verocai who was joined by the legendary Azymuth, Ivan Lins and a nine-piece string section. The album was a long-awaited follow-up to his 1972 debut so bridges 35 years and bottles up Brazilian influences with American soul and cinematic experimentation. Initially overlooked amongst his wider canon, Verocai's debut gained cult status thanks to Far Out Recordings' Joe Davis who rediscovered it in the late 80s. In 2004, producer Dave Brinkworth brought Verocai back to the studio to reignite his musical brilliance. A master arranger, Verocai's work with Brazilian legends shaped his visionary sound and have helped to cement him as a timeless force in music history. Learn More -

TONY ALLEN - Moyege (MARK ERNESTUS Remixes)
£10.99Not a nowadays-style remix, more an extended mix in the classical tradition headed by Tom Moulton, back in the days when Francois Kevorkian was his teaboy, and there was a cupboard in his office stuffed with Studio One master-tapes. This record brings to Afrobeat the dubwise intelligence of the discomix. It’s beautifully crafted, irresistibly grooving, heavy. Learn More -
EUSEBEIA - Purity / (ARTIFICIAL RED Remix)
£14.48Purity was written in 2021 and was one of a few tracks I had completed, but remained unreleased. In 2022 I played a show for Dissonance in Bristol, and consequently played Purity, to which George (Artificial Red) contacted me the following day about this particular track I played, and I told him it was a piece called Purity. He really liked it and asked if he could remix it, and I agreed. Not long after he sent over the remix which I liked, but at that point I wasn't too sure where we could release them, so they remained unreleased for a time. In the latter part of 2023 we both played a show together and he played the remix, which caught my attention as I hadn't heard it in a while, and that was my first time hearing it on bigger speakers and I thought it sounded great! We had talked about sending it to labels so I sent them to one or two, but nothing Learn More -

NEBULA - FR010 EP
£15.98Out of stock
In my opinion, Nebula is one of the best new producers for the atmospheric side of jungle & I've been a big fan of his work for years, following & supporting his music on Scientific Wax & Subtle Audio, so I'm very pleased to have a release from him on Future Retro London. When he sent me "The Future", it was originally for Meeting Of The Minds, but it was already so fully formed and finished, that I felt like it was better off being released as is, and so I did a VIP version of it to go on the b-side. MILTON JACKSON / BRIAN KAGE - Fire Emoji EP
£15.49Scottish producer Milton Jackson returns to Freerange with four club-rooted collaborations that bridge Glasgow's punch with Detroit's finesse. It's a new release that brings Brian Kage on co-production and mastering, HazMat Live on synth duties, and Jon Dixon supplying characteristically sharp keys i and the results are as warm and robust as you'd expect. 'Fire Emoji' opens with a stripped-down, pressure-cooked club tool: all booming low-end, echoing vocal wisps and crisp arrangement. 'The Sunsetters' is the emotional peak, built around a fluid synth solo from HazMat Live and buoyed by plush pads and 909 accents. On the flip, 'Wanna C U' nods to both sides of the Atlantic, fusing US house depth with the swing and snap of UKG. 'The Shine', featuring Jon Dixon, is the most musically rich of the lot i gliding chords, broken grooves and cosmic jazz touches make it a standout closer. Rooted in deep house but flexible in feel, these tracks feel fully lived-in: tactile, soulful and beautifully engineered. Four cuts that do damage without shouting i a smooth burner from a seasoned crew. Learn More -

Next, "D55" offers a lighter, more airy dub groove, blending house and Balearic influences, with lush, chord-heavy layers that create a dreamy feel. YOSI HORIKAWA - Spaces
£26.99‘Spaces‘ is Horikawa’s new album, following from 2013’s ‘Vapor‘ released via London-based label First Word. This time the album is released on Borrowed Scenery, a new label setup by Horikawa and close collaborator Daisuke Tanabe to enable them to operate free of constraints. The album features 11 songs that combine field recordings and sound design with a range of stylistic touch points: the fluid intricacies of hip-hop, the precise efficacy of IDM, the euphoric physicality of dance music, the humanity of acoustic instrumentation. Each song blends a primary sound source with a certain style, with titles often hinting at the origins of the sounds – “Moldy Vinyl,” “Vietnam,” “Fluid,” “Swashers,” “Nubia” – or the mood the music evokes. What ties it all together is Horikawa’ s deeply personal understanding of what constitutes music, an understanding shorn from the commercial and stylistic structures of music as a commodity. SYLVESTER - I Need You / (RON HARDY Edit)
£15.98While nowhere near his most celebrated work, 'I Need You' is undoubtedly one of sadly departed San Francisco disco star Sylvester's most potent dancefloor workouts - a typically driving mood-enhancing cover that transformed a gospel song into a soaring, surging, tops-off hymn to sexual desire. This reissue pairs the Harvey Fuqua-produced original 12" version (1980) with what appears to be a previously unreleased re-edit by Chicago house originator Ron Hardy. The latter's take is more rhythmically sturdy and lightly percussive, with vocal and full instrumental sections (often drenched in effects) sitting side by side with extended drum workouts. It's a fine alternative take of a disco record that should be in everyone's record collection. Learn More -
PORTER BROOK - Prefrontal Asymmetry EP
£11.48Porter Brook’s experimentation with Live Coding considers the reality of dance music culture in the 2020’s to be inseparably mediated through algorithms and digital space. DAVID VUNK - Scheurneus EP
£17.99Scheurneus EP is Vunks latest 12 inch vinyl release on his own legendary imprint Moustache Records. This release is a tribute to the underground scene, no hipster house only pure electro techno acid EBM sounds. This release is part of his 30 year anniversary as a DJ. Produced in his atomic basement Baan Studios downtown Rotterdam. A1 has a crazy funky 303 bassline, 606 hi-hats, 909 toms and more cowbell, vocoder voices and some italo-ish Legowelt-ish melody , this all blends together for this "You Sexy Bassline". When David played it in a B2B with Tom Trago, Tom said are you kidding me, is this your track? A2 "Sorry ain't enough" is a musical tribute to the legendary Emmanuel Top from Belgium. Electro acid and a building up deep track. Expect some extra cut off frequency and resonance. Already played on National Dutch Radio 3FM by the best and funniest radio DJ the Netherlands has to offer; Justin Verkijk. B1 provides a tribute to the EBM wave scene, originally made for a VA compilation that was never released. Now brought to you on Moustache Records because we don't want you to miss this! Expect TR909 hats, vocoders, modular Fenix 4 system and more modular. A hit from the legendary Paradisco Festival in Belgium. OLD BOYS VINYL SESSIONS - Is There A Place? EP
£14.48There's not much we can tell you about the identities of the "trusty producers" behind the Old Boys Vinyl Sessions project, other than that they have been making and releasing music under various aliases since the pre-MP3 days. It's easy to see why they want to avoid publicity, as what's an offer is a tasty house rework of a string-laden Blue Nile number from back in 1984. The opening 'Cloudburst Vox' wraps elements of the band's sultry, simmering original track (strings, vocals, pianos) and tech-house electronics around a locked-in house groove, while the accompanying 'Cloudburst Dub' strips out the vocals while retaining the gorgeous arrangements and druggy 21st century sounds. The extended flipside 'Torrent Vox' ramps up the strings and other picturesque sounds, inserting a simply stunning extended breakdown for good measure. Learn More -

'Chicago' serves as a vibrant tribute to his hometown, its driving rhythms and soulful chords capturing the essence of the city's dance music tradition. 'Good Vibration' radiates with energy, its catchy melodies and uplifting vocals reflecting the celebratory side of house music. 'What' takes a more introspective turn, with its hypnotic groove and poignant vocals evoking late-night reflections and soul-searching moments on the dancefloor. 'White Wing Dove' soars with gospel-inspired chords and powerful vocals, showcasing Javonntte’s talent for blending spirituality with dancefloor energy in a seamless experience. NYE - Garage Planet EP
£10.99Welcome to Large Hall, a fresh new label launching with a journey to Garage Planet, brought to you by NYE. Though a new artist on our radar, NYE clearly has the talent to back up the hype with this EP. "Jack In" opens with a gritty, ghetto-inspired vibe, driven by a dark bassline, while "Nightwerk" carries a similarly menacing feel, despite its laid-back groove. The raw echoes of early Chicago house resonate through "Local 707," highlighted by a standout lead synth motif. "Output Signal" keeps the vibe deep and dirty, featuring stripped-back drums and percussion. Finally, "Passer" ventures into brighter, more melodic territory, while still maintaining an eerie, heady energy. Learn More -

A downtempo influence runs through 'Dreamscape', the floaty synths countered with skittering drums, while EP closer 'Whistle Blower' is packed with industrial percussion and creepy bleeps made for those heads-down, screw-face moments on the dancefloor. CHUNKY / STICKY DUB / GILES SMITH / ALEX NUT - Eglo Records Volume 3 EP
£13.49Massive jazzdance and UK bass fusions on the new e-glowup from Eglo (though the record is also released physically). Celebrating 15 years of the nominal "post-dubstep" label, this limited 12" EP hears four exclusive, unreleased tracks from an upcoming label-definer compilation, the third in a series. Born from the basement of Plastic People, the pressure has remained continuously on Eglo to keep the same foment of bass musical innovation that the club nurtured alive. Plastic People is a routinised object of nostalgia, and it is often deemed the last proper place for innovation in bass music before austerity Britain militated against it. Zed Bias's remix of Chunky's 'Dancing On Tables' with Metrodome - and the deep, bruk-inspired track, 'Minerals,' from Liverpool's rising star Sticky Dub - both prove this assessment totally wrong. Genius thrives. On the flip, we've also house legend Giles Smith (formerly of Secretsundaze) delivering fresh material, as well as label boss Alexander Nut making his official debut with the lo-fi electro house track 'Arcade Fun Pt. 1.' The full compilation, featuring artists like Shy One, Steve Spacek, and Fatima, drops in April. Learn More -

On the flipside, "Sofnthik" transports listeners to an undiscovered 1980s Chicago deep house vibe, with warm, soulful chords swirling around a choppy drum machine groove.
