The second release from ISOTOOP sees Vand venture out solo on three divergent and introspective cuts, each cultivated from the Dutch musician’s live repertoire, and an austere remix from the ever-accurate Italian duo natural.electronic/system tops off the release. Learn More
Originally brought to light in 2014 by 'EKMAN' Aka. WILL BANKHEAD, Entropy receives a sought afrer repress. Admittedly on the darker side of the Techno realm.. The bass drums on side A feel almost industrial-esque, accompanied by crispy 808 machine patterns, topped off with great synth+fx work. On the flip side, we recieve more of an Electro-acid trip with some off kelter patterns and squelchy basslines beneath extra-terrestrial pads. Learn More
A second appearance of Tammo Hesselink on the Mantis series. Fusing the spatial effects treatments of dub with the metallic clang of industrial percussion and the stark negative space of minimal, Tammo Hesselink's sonic practice continues to create compelling, complex forms. His exacting style toys with atmospheric processing and mechanised motifs in place of traditional melodic elements, unearthing nuanced expression from timbre and rhythm while delivering firm structures for advanced soundsystem immersion. This priceless double-header brings together two timeless gems from South African music icon Letta Mbulu. On one side, the afro-electro boogie cult classic 'Nomalizo', a favourite among diggers and refined selectors alike, with its honeyed vocals, salty synth work and languid rhythms. On the other, there's 'Kilimanjaro Takes Us Higher', an uplifting, up-tempo dancefloor anthem radiating optimism with soul-drenched vocals, funk bass, disco strings and agile keys. Released together as a single for the first time, these sought-after tracks have been embraced across countless scenes for decades. Nothing short of essential.

MOY makes a triumphant return to the mighty Analogical Force with the 'Supermassive' EP, a bold statement of intent. While the artist doesn't necessarily reinvent the wheel here, his tracks have a way of gripping you and never letting go thanks to their hyperactive beats, acid basslines and emotive melodies. It's the design of these elements which elevate his machine rhythms to timelessness. Each of the four tracks delivers on many different levels namely in the club, night drives, or chilling at home. MOY's ability to blend influences results in a sound that's both familiar and fresh here.

The legendary Reading-based jungle label, Basement Records, has released two new remixes of Top Buzz’s 1993 bass-driven darkside anthem, made all the more meaningful following the tragic passing of TB (Jason Kaye) in 1993. The Swankout Legacy is the more distinctly junglist of the two, initially transforming the original’s relentless four-to-the-floor rhythm into a swirling Amen storm, layering stretched-out vocals and apocalyptic horns, before reintroducing the pounding 4/4 beat just as you thought it might have disappeared. The Swankout Legacy Vocal Mix, however, adds a hefty dose of reggae to the heavy, dancefloor-dominating hardcore beats, with such intense results that you might think the United Nations should get involved. A fitting, fiery tribute.

DJ Sotofett is one of those producers who operates on his own plane. His sounds are like no other, his ideas are weird and wonderful and his execution is always exceptional. He is a producer who does things in his own playful way and that bears out on this new 12-track album. It's couched in electro with 80s Nintendo console vibes and a fusion of analogue and digital synthesis that makes for a jubilant celebration. Along the way, things shift from acid-infected beats and catchy electronic pop to avant-garde electro cuts. Vital stuff.

The genesis of the tracks on the Defiance LP [HOROEX38] came directly in the aftermath of the Space Echo EP by ASC for Samurai Red Seal. At the time, James made remixes of some of the tracks from this EP in an updated style for use on his last European tour. Two of these remixes make up the Defiance: Prelude release. Space Echo gets rebuilt into a more sinuous, ethereal soundscape, and Reveal is also refined into a graceful flotation device with sprinkles of air from the ether.

The American female vocal trio First Choice released their rendition of 'Love and Happiness' in 1973. The track is a cover of Al Green's original released just a year earlier in 1972, but First Choice's version was perhaps helped along the way by a peak case of nominative determinism: for us, theirs is the first choice. Featured on their debut album, Armed and Extremely Dangerous, it stood out on the Philly soul girl gang's record as one of the records most propitious to sampling by house and techno musicians, such as Todd Terry and Jungle Brothers. But this time, the legacy of this preceptive soulful-house interplay is honoured by a newly reissued remix by the mysterious but titanic Chicago producer Ron Hardy, whose inclusion on the record is the real star here. Hardy's signature reel-to-reel fuzzes and presence-bled hues effect recollections of a pre-DAW production setup, and the resonances of dub (woodblocks, four-tone hooks, burly basslines) nest the original Al Green vocal nicely.

At last, The North Quarter gives Echo Brown’s stunning debut EP a well-deserved vinyl release. Featuring four of the original five tracks, this version sees the rising US talent team up with Manchester’s KinKai on the dreamy opener Affirmations. From there, the journey drifts into a surreal realm as So Good unfolds with its hazy neo-soul vibe, while Love Won’t Do takes us down deep, SpectraSoul-inspired rabbit holes. Phenomena delivers a powerful punch with its UK-style shuffling drums and gritty, rumbling bassline, bringing the whole experience to a dramatic pause. There’s no mistaking the quality here.

To celebrate 30 years since the launch of his now-iconic Environ label, Morgan Geist is revisiting where it all began—reissuing the long out-of-print debut 12", a solo EP that marked just his second release. Instead, the record finds him exploring the celestial edges of Detroit-inspired techno and jacking, spacey house. Learn More

My debut EP on Rupture LDN, ‘Shades of Rave Vol 1’ was created with my love of raving at its core. I love arriving early doors when the anticipation of the night ahead is at its peak, feeling like we’re on the edge of something new and thrilling. I love dancing when we’re deep in session, everyone has come undone and the power hours are in full effect - the energy is frenzied and wild. I love the golden hours towards the end of the night when the crowd has thinned and we’re exhausted but energised, physically empty but spiritually full.

June Jazzin has long been a torchbearer for South Africa’s broken deep house movement, crafting music that merges jazz-funk, spiritual energy, and syncopated club grooves. His broken rework of Boogie With Me stands out — dusty yet agile, anchored by a fluid bassline and smoky lounge-style keys. The rest of the record is thoughtfully curated. Lukamusic sets the tone with Dear Women, a track shaped by brushed percussion and heartfelt harmonies. Vencer Cafe follows with Xxx, a minimal, sultry piece soaked in delay and irregular swing. Closing things out, El Payo offers Sunbright — the most classic cut here, led by warm organ lines and a dimly lit atmosphere, yet full of depth. Expertly assembled, this 12" moves fluidly across moods while maintaining a cohesive, soulful thread throughout. Learn More
first released in 1997 via 181 Recordings. A deft working-through of vocoded cognitions and snappy neuro receptor firings and frazzlings, the original track is lent further weight here by DJ Marky & Makoto and Nookie respectively. 20 years on from its original release, Adam F's issue is lent two further mech-anthropic appendages, phattening the OG drumfunk number up with both extra-weighted yet extra-crisp transient edges. Scottish producer Milton Jackson returns to Freerange with four club-rooted collaborations that bridge Glasgow's punch with Detroit's finesse. It's a new release that brings Brian Kage on co-production and mastering, HazMat Live on synth duties, and Jon Dixon supplying characteristically sharp keys i and the results are as warm and robust as you'd expect. 'Fire Emoji' opens with a stripped-down, pressure-cooked club tool: all booming low-end, echoing vocal wisps and crisp arrangement. 'The Sunsetters' is the emotional peak, built around a fluid synth solo from HazMat Live and buoyed by plush pads and 909 accents. On the flip, 'Wanna C U' nods to both sides of the Atlantic, fusing US house depth with the swing and snap of UKG. 'The Shine', featuring Jon Dixon, is the most musically rich of the lot i gliding chords, broken grooves and cosmic jazz touches make it a standout closer. Rooted in deep house but flexible in feel, these tracks feel fully lived-in: tactile, soulful and beautifully engineered. Four cuts that do damage without shouting i a smooth burner from a seasoned crew.

Mind Express boss Refracted, AKA Berlin's Alex Moya, emerges from the depths of some murky, oily, opaque lake. A place unsettling and unnerving - the site of some unknown tension - but also wonderfully inimitable and hard to countenance. Powerful stuff, just not really in a way that immediately presents itself as such. Nevertheless, before you know it these tones have enveloped and ensnared. Call it ambient techno, call it ambient, call it pure futurism - parts here almost feel like the ambient noises of familiar things that haven't been invented yet. If that makes sense? A moody precog of a record, it whirs and drones, echoes and dissipates. There are moments when structure become more defined, like the mystery of 'Initiation', but for the most part these are aural infinity loops.
