Timeless tells you that you can’t ignore or erase this history because to Goldie, and to so many others, it holds their lives, dreams and feelings." Learn More

DJ Agitated made a big impression with his 'Magic Overlooked' EP back in 2024, and now builds on that momentum with the follow up. It's a welcome return to the Dolly TS series with more robust and punchy analogue explorations. 'U' Focu Ranni' is straight up body music with fragment vocals pacing about the mix, then 'E=p22m+U(X,T)' takes on off E-ed up waves of techno euphoria with hurried drums and lush synths and 'Don't Mind' brings a filter-heavy, hardcore house sound that will gets fists punching the air. 'Rug Pull' is a dub techno pile-driver for more high octane fun.

Not a nowadays-style remix, more an extended mix in the classical tradition headed by Tom Moulton, back in the days when Francois Kevorkian was his teaboy, and there was a cupboard in his office stuffed with Studio One master-tapes. This record brings to Afrobeat the dubwise intelligence of the discomix. It’s beautifully crafted, irresistibly grooving, heavy. Learn More
Massive jazzdance and UK bass fusions on the new e-glowup from Eglo (though the record is also released physically). Celebrating 15 years of the nominal "post-dubstep" label, this limited 12" EP hears four exclusive, unreleased tracks from an upcoming label-definer compilation, the third in a series. Born from the basement of Plastic People, the pressure has remained continuously on Eglo to keep the same foment of bass musical innovation that the club nurtured alive. Plastic People is a routinised object of nostalgia, and it is often deemed the last proper place for innovation in bass music before austerity Britain militated against it. Zed Bias's remix of Chunky's 'Dancing On Tables' with Metrodome - and the deep, bruk-inspired track, 'Minerals,' from Liverpool's rising star Sticky Dub - both prove this assessment totally wrong. Genius thrives. On the flip, we've also house legend Giles Smith (formerly of Secretsundaze) delivering fresh material, as well as label boss Alexander Nut making his official debut with the lo-fi electro house track 'Arcade Fun Pt. 1.' The full compilation, featuring artists like Shy One, Steve Spacek, and Fatima, drops in April.

Holsten marks his arrival with his debut 'All Talk EP' on Rupture LDN. Dark and menacing from the bass to the atmospherics, Holsten takes no prisoners with four tracks of dystopian pressure, including a collab with Overlook (for his first return since 'Gumshoe' in 2015). Essential selections for the late night warriors from Holsten, with tight breaks and swarming lows, without ever losing the groove. Learn More
Label affiliates Mytron and Zongamin make a combined return to the ever-on-point Canadian stable Multi Kulti, delivering an extended selection of typically off-kilter, genre-bending sonic mastery. In what appears to be a match made in the leftfield heavens, the duo join forces to explore dance-ish music's outer reaches, blending tribal motifs with 8-bit sampling and all manner of wonkiness. From the blissful bells of Conjunction With Reality to the bass-heavy throb of GHX, there is unsurprisingly plenty to savour here. Opening cut '08932168' blends enchanting lead melodies with rolling polyrhythms and dubbed-out effects before the equatorial percussion of 'Calliope Omniglot' makes way for the wiggy atmospherics of the collection's title track. Highly recommended.

Porter Brook’s experimentation with Live Coding considers the reality of dance music culture in the 2020’s to be inseparably mediated through algorithms and digital space. The attention economy and the corporate co-optation of the underground has dissolved a large part of dance music culture in an acrid solvent of content creation. Learn More
REPRESS ALERT!: Burnski's Constant Black label puts out constantly good sounds for all those of a minimal and tech house persuasion. This 33rd such outing comes from Per Hammar who offers a trio of irresistible grooves. 'Everybody hz' kicks off with rubbery drums and bass intertwining with each other while wonky synths up top add some tripped-out feels. A Varhat adds a little extra bounce and urgency to this silky late-night hypnotiser and then it's back to Hammar for 'The Danish URL'. It's a hooky groove with warped pads rippling up top while closer 'Arkivo' is a more textural and abstract affair with a nice dubby undercurrent.
