Portuguese techno master Lewis Fautzi returns home after a while with his trademark rugged and solid techno. For this release he provides four cuts of heavily pressurized dj tools, starting with Total Absence, starting with a solid groove spiced with bass enforced frequencies, the intensity grows as the bars go by using additional percussive layers and electrified drones floating over the beat. Paranoia comes next, clean and solid drums, elastic sequences and high pitched atmospheres collide in another mental workout. On the B side, Ground State provides another interpretation, in a more shuffled approach in the rhythms, precisely distorted and with the aid of a bleepy detail that appears from beyond the spectrum.
