    BEYAZ - Felt EP

    £8.99

Blink 'n you'll miss it hand-dropped edition of 20 (!) fresh off the lathe from new imprint ANA. Ah don't we wish this happened more often, murky hand-delivered sophisticated club music for mind and body from total newcomer Beyaz. A-sider 'Felt' starts of with a tense, eerie atmosphere riding Pole-esque glitch micro-detailing upon a plump, rolling groove, before being plunged into the depths on 'Femur' with its nervous shuffle. Maybe we're getting carried away out of admiration for all things DIY, but the textural clash of microscopic detailing, foreboding metallic clammers and buoyant bass lines recall the dingiest corners of Baby Ford's back-cat (PAL SL or Ifach) slowed down and re-calibrated for 2019 basements. We're already sold, but the B-side highlight 'Frack' rolls out a moody, broken groove amidst distant murmurs shot through some serious dub-wize production with rim-shots ricocheting off into the abyss. Must check for anyone who was smart enough to pick up those recent Well Street records, ridiculously limited - highest recommends on this one. Learn More
